Project Overview:
After searching for a permanent location for several years, Chabad of Chesterfield selected Gray Design Group to design a 15,000-square-foot center on a one-and-a-half-acre site located on the corner of Conway Road and Chesterfield Parkway in Chesterfield, Missouri. The client’s goal was to design a warm, welcoming, comfortable community space with a rabbi readily accessible. As guests enter the vestibule, they are greeted with a spacious lounge to encourage interaction and conversation. The west side of the building features a 164-seat shul with fully demountable walls and furniture to be flexible for other events. The east side of the building offers office space, a huddle room, a library and a café with a bar and a full kitchen for community events. The educational wing expands community programming through multiple classrooms, daycare and a learning café. This new space provides a welcoming environment for people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs, fostering an open and personal Jewish experience.
