Overview
Avenir, a modern residential community, showcases Gray’s successful design approach, which integrates architecture, interior design, signage, wayfinding and environmental graphics, so every detail works together. From large, colorful wayfinding systems to subtle wall graphics, the design focuses on helping residents feel oriented, welcomed and connected at every step of their journey.
First Impressions
A painted dimensional logo anchors the lobby, establishing Avenir’s identity as soon as residents and guests enter. This bold design element creates a welcoming focal point while reinforcing brand presence.
Creating Energy
The fitness center features a dramatic black accent wall with white contour-cut vinyl graphics aligned with brand guidelines. Additional logos in the same clean style energize the space and connect it to the larger visual system.
Elevating the Everyday
In the bike storage room, walls are wrapped with blue and white vinyl graphics applied over painted white surfaces. The clean vector design language creates consistency with other amenity spaces while elevating a utilitarian function.
Getting Playful
The dog wash station carries forward the brand’s blue palette, combining painted walls with contour-cut white vinyl graphics. The playful yet clean visuals add character while maintaining a cohesive look.
Guiding with Graphics
From the parking garage to the residential corridors, directional signage guides residents clearly and efficiently. The stairwells feature a 32-inch painted color band overlaid with white vinyl letters and numbers. The parking garage continues the system with distinct background colors on each level. High-contrast Sherwin-Williams Pure White linework and text enhance visibility and safety, extending the brand into every corner of the resident’s journey.
Guiding with Color
Each of the four residential floors is color-coded, with room numbers and wayfinding cues strategically placed to facilitate intuitive navigation. The color coding reinforces orientation and provides clarity while maintaining Avenir’s sleek visuals.
