Gray’s design of Carmody MacDonald’s space modernizes key areas while preserving essential architectural elements and reimagining an underutilized lounge into a multifunctional break room and event space. The design balances elegance and practicality, incorporating thoughtful material selections and lighting solutions to create an inviting yet professional atmosphere.
Lobby Transformation: A Refined First Impression
By maintaining the monumental stairs as a focal point, Gray introduced refined design details that align with Carmody MacDonald’s vision of a polished yet comfortable workspace within budget. A rich material palette of wood, leather and gold accents, combined with a bold, warm color scheme, enhances the lobby’s welcoming ambiance. Glass fronts with bronze frames allow natural light into the conference rooms, which feature refined faux wood wallcoverings.
