Gray’s design vision for Ortho Missouri’s 12,700 square-foot flagship Saint Louis office seamlessly merged functionality and patient comfort while upholding the high-end design synonymous with all Ortho Missouri locations. The design team navigated the challenging, fast-paced timeline by initiating collaborative sessions with physician support staff to kick-start a space plan that improves operational efficiency and enhances the overall patient experience. Gray’s design approach led to several strategic improvements, including a new exterior entrance linking the office and ambulatory surgery center for better accessibility and an overflow station in the lobby to streamline patient flow. The herringbone patterns in the wall and floor tiles added a consistent visual appeal to the long corridors and lobby amenity spaces. Gray selected the muted blue wall covering as a canvas for the new three-dimensional acrylic logo and implemented indirect lighting throughout the space to create a warm, comforting and healing environment.
