Overview
From the moment patients enter Shero Imaging, the environment is designed to feel calm, welcoming and distinctly different from a traditional healthcare setting. Inspired by hospitality and wellness environments, the space layers deep, rich tones with soft lighting, natural textures and curated artwork to create an atmosphere centered on comfort and reassurance. Thoughtfully selected furnishings and finishes help establish a boutique, unique, concierge-style experience that immediately puts patients at ease.

A Human-Centered Approach to Care
Gray partnered with Dr. Tish Singer to create a women’s imaging environment rooted in compassion, dignity and emotional wellness. Inspired by her vision for patient-first care, the design supports the reality that imaging appointments can often carry anxiety and uncertainty. Smaller, more intimate consultation areas provide comfortable spaces for private conversations, allowing patients to receive information in a setting that feels supportive rather than clinical.
Wellness-Inspired Environments
Warm materials, ambient lighting and layered textures create a calming sensory experience more commonly associated with boutique spas and wellness destinations. Even highly technical environments were approached with a focus on reducing stress through thoughtful material selection, acoustics and lighting strategies. Playful, anatomically inspired details and carefully curated artwork add personality and warmth while reinforcing the center’s mission of women’s health and empowerment.
Integrated Technology + Comfort
The facility seamlessly integrates advanced imaging technology, including mammography, breast CT, ultrasound and bone density scanning, within environments designed around patient comfort and staff efficiency. Spatial planning carefully balances operational workflow with privacy, creating intuitive circulation patterns for both caregivers and patients. Every design decision was guided by the belief that high-quality medical care and emotional comfort should coexist seamlessly.
Summary
Beyond the patient-facing experience, the design prioritizes functionality and efficiency for clinical teams and support staff. Back-of-house spaces were carefully planned to streamline workflow, improve operational performance and support the evolving needs of a modern imaging practice. The result is an environment that enhances the patient’s journey and empowers caregivers to provide exceptional, personalized care.
