Project Overview:
Melton Machine designs, engineers and builds robotic welding machines for the automotive industry. To accommodate the requirements for this project, the building shell utilized concrete tilt-up panels to enclose the large floor area and provide a 20’ clear height structure. The building houses 295,000 square feet of manufacturing area and 70,000 square feet of office area on two floors. The office area includes a 200-person training room, a large two-story lobby with monumental stairs and an employee café with outdoor seating. The manufacturing area includes four overhead crane bays, six drive-ins and six dock doors. Site development offers 413 parking spaces and multiple building expansion opportunities. The distinctive building design features a façade articulation utilizing tilt-up panels with brick veneer, Nichiha panel accents and a high impact entry.
