Project Overview:
The School’s planning commission engaged Gray Design Group to assist them with designing and preparing exhibits for their capital campaign to support the expansion and renovation of the parish campus. After obtaining funding, Gray began construction on the extensive transformation. Highlights include expanded classrooms, a new main entrance with a secure vestibule and a new regulation-size gym featuring locker rooms, office space, equipment storage, trophy case and a concession stand. The relocated administrative offices adjacent to the main entrance improved security. The former undersized gym was transfigured into a new library/media center, new art/PSR rooms, new science labs and a multi-purpose room to accommodate lunch, before and after school care and athletic practices. Additional upgrades include a new robotics room, larger teacher’s lounge, relocated kindergarten room and new safe play area for pre-K through 8th grade. All renovated existing spaces meet ADA accessibility standards, most notably the surgical and complex placement of a new modular elevator within the existing building footprint by a large crane.
