Project Overview:
An occupied facility is always a challenge during renovation and becomes more magnified by the age of the occupants. Careful planning and seamless construction phasing allowed this skilled nursing campus to remain operational throughout the installation. The restoration demolished the entry façade and replaced it with a dramatic stainless steel and granite canopy. Clerestory windows infuse the reception area with an abundance of natural light. Relocated columns, removal of a large fountain and sophisticated lighting transformed the lobby and dining area into an elegant and engaging environment for the residents and their families. Added amenities include a styling salon, ice cream parlor and activities room. The project successfully increased occupancy by 20% two months after the grand re-opening.
