Project Overview:

Tuscola Community Unit School District entrusted Gray Design Group to provide comprehensive design services aimed at enhancing both functionality and identity at Tuscola High School. The scope encompassed a complete interior renovation, integrating environmental graphics that celebrate the school’s brand, fostering a sense of pride and spirit. In Phase One, the transformation began with renovating science classrooms and creating private counseling offices, providing confidential conversations with students and a dedicated conference room for district meetings. By removing the partition between the physics and chemistry rooms, Gray optimized the space to accommodate lab work and lectures, improving accessibility. The installation of a new HVAC system provides a safe and comfortable environment for both students and staff. Additional improvements included upgraded acoustic ceiling tiles, LED lighting, ADA-accessible doors and the integration of new technology in all classrooms. Phase Two focused on enhancing the library, study hall, locker rooms and offices, making a positive difference in the well-being of students and faculty. In Phase Three, plans are underway to convert the existing cafetorium into a modern auditorium and renovate the music rooms, further enriching the school’s facilities and educational experience.
